A new open-top bus service has been activated to comfortably reach the summit of the famous volcano in a medium-sized tourist bus, enjoying the magic of the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri, Ischia, and Procida. The new service is operated by Green Line Tours sightseeing. The new tour is called Destination Vesuvio and involves a dedicated tourist bus departing daily at various times from the parking lot of the Ercolano Excavations at Via dei Papiri Ercolanesi n°11. The tour lasts about an hour and a half and includes an audio guide, available in 8 different languages, which allows participants to learn about the history of Vesuvius and the cities it destroyed with the terrible eruption of 79 AD. Departing from the parking lot of the Ercolano excavations allows you to leave your car and comfortably reach the summit of the volcano and also, for those who wish, to visit the extraordinary Archaeological Park of Ercolano. The ticket cost is 18 euros for each adult. There is also a 13 euro ticket for children aged 6-14, while the journey is free for children aged 0 to 5. Some accesses are provided for people with disabilities. Currently, there are 4 daily departures at 9:30, 10:45, 13:00, and 14:30.
