The service is active on the ANM Metro Line 1, at the Centrale and Chiaia Funicular stations, on the EAV railway lines (Naples - Sorrento and Piscinola - Aversa).
OPERATION
If the payment card has the symbol, the traveler can perform TAP IN and TAP OUT at one of the contactless validators located before and after the gates, properly marked. At the entrance, approach the card (TAP IN) to the POS reader located on the turnstiles to open the gate. Upon arrival at the station, always remember to perform TAP OUT to calculate the best fare. The new system with contactless payment cards charges the user the most convenient fare, choosing between a single trip, an integrated hourly ticket, and a daily urban ticket, automatically calculated (without additional costs) based on daily movements.
Always use the same card, both for entry and exit. If you TAP IN and TAP OUT with two different cards, the system detects two separate trips and proceeds with a double charge.
Note: the digitized payment card on the smartphone (e.g. Apple Pay or Android Pay applications) presents itself to the reader with a different card number, even though the payment channel remains the same. If you use your smartphone for TAP IN and the physical card for TAP OUT, in this case too, two trips will be charged because the system detects two different cards.
ATTENTION! If the traveler does not perform TAP OUT, the maximum fare will be charged.
